Hi everyone!

My name is Cristina Guzmán Juárez. I’m studying the Doctoral Programme in the Information and Knowledge Society at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. My thesis focuses on independent podcast creators, more specific audio drama creators.

Since I listened to my first fiction podcasts over 7 years ago, I have fallen in love with the medium. Especially with podcasts like The Thrilling adventure hour, Wolf 359, the Leviathan Chronicles, Ars Paradoxica, and The Byron Chronicles. How could someone not fall in love with a medium that transmitted stories full of adventure, mystery, and emotions? And at the same time, I realized that this medium was accompanied by a community with a unique form of collaboration. So when I started my Ph.D. studies, I didn’t hesitate to focus my research on this medium and its community.

On this page, I’ll be sharing interviews, pre-analysis, fiction podcast recommendations, among other significant information about fiction podcast creators.
